This week we are building a new toilet block in addition to the sisters’ Ablution Area. They are working hard MsA. We will continue next week IsA.
Don’t worry, we have not forgotten the tiling fix for this week. Tiling is continuing with the tiling of the Imaam’s section and the office.

This week we started on the sisters’ Ablution Area. We bought the truck of sand, the blocks and cement and off we went. Good progress being made, Alhamdulillah. We will continue next week IsA.

Africa Charitable Project refurbish brings you monthly updates on our charity work in Africa. We fund £200 per week to ensure the completion.
Humblest Apologies! The answer would usually be no, but in our case we are working on a budget. So we have to allocate a fixed amount of around £200 per week to ensure the project can run continuously throughout the year IsA.
Tiles cost around £7 per box for floor tiles and £6 per box for wall tiles, which means we can only buy around 20 boxes of floor tiles (£140) a week which covers about 25 sqm of space (5m x 5m). Now you can see this hall is made up of a quite a few 5m x 5m spaces.
What of the remaining £60 I hear you ask? Well we also need sand and cement and we must pay the great tilers doing an outstanding job.
So we are wrapping up the wall tiles in the main hall and moving to the office next IsA.
So just a while longer, pretty please. Enjoy the pics!
When will this tiling end?
You guessed it, the tiling continues. They do say anything worth doing is worth doing well and it’s a large space that needs both new floor and wall tiles.
So this week we continued with the wall tiles and I think the dear and respected elderly lady in the picture looks pleased MsA. I certainly hope she is not thinking “Still tiling?!? Errr…yes, sorry, we will soon finish I promise IsA, but we hope you like it!
They do say Patience is one of the qualities of the believers.
This week was about wall tiles! We completed the floor tiles which took quite a long time and the Committee had to choose the wall tiles. This was the selection they had to choose from:
They made their choice, bought the cement and sand and the team went to work! What can I say, working hard and looking great MsA!
